I have a few search engines, Google engine too and I'm wondering how to delete their history. Some software suggestions? :o

thanks ComputerForum!

It's controlled by your browser's history and private information.

For Internet Explorer:
1. Go to Tools > Internet Options
2. Click Clear History and then Yes when the popup box displays.
3. Click the Content Tab
4. Click AutoComplete
5. Click Clear Forms and click Yes when the popup box displays.

For Mozilla Firefox
1. Go to Tools > Clear Recent History
2. Click Clear Now

For Google Chrome
1. Click the wrench icon wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
2. Select Tools.
3. Select Clear browsing data.
4. In the dialog that appears, select the "Clear browsing history" checkbox.
5. Use the "Clear data from this period" menu to select the amount of data you want to delete. Select Everything to clear your entire browsing history.
6. Click Clear browsing data.

He's talking about search engine history, not browser history. The search engine service retains the search info in their logs, so when you log into their service again it remembers what you searched for. In Google's case, they use that info and the info in your GMail to display ads according to your interests on sites with AdSense.
You'll have to ask the service about that, I know there is a way to do it in Google but just don't remember, I think it was in your account settings.

If you have a toolbar (Google) you should be able to go in to the search history tab in the toolbar and click "delete search history"
