Deleting 1 OS in dual boot

Hi, I have Windows XP and Windows Vista in dual boot mode.

I want to uninstall one OS, XP... Can I do so with EasyBCD 1.7.2? If so... how?

For removing XP with the EasyBCD tool it's simply a matter of deleting the entries pointing to XP there. That will remove XP as an option while booting in Vista. The rest is done after by simple deletion of the XP primary to see a new storage partition or expanding the Vista primary if on the same hard drive.

Here XP is installed to a second drive and then added into the 3rd party prebeta tool soon to be in public beta #1 form that works alone or with EasyBCD for seeing additional boot entries there. That is a new tool for protecting Vista's restore points when booting into XP when configured as a dual boot.

If you have XP on a separate drive you can easily remove the entries for it and unplug the Vista drive to boot upto XP's recovery console for the Fixboot and Fixmbr commands. Then you would need the boot device menu or change the boot order at post to run XP however.

Here XP only remains for some programs not Vista ready and in order to test some beta or prebeta programs requiring XP. Vista has shown itself being more stable over the long run however. How are you configured there one drive or two? XP isn't hard to see removed.
