deleting contacts on a Motorola atrix 4G Android

Goto to the dialer. click on contacts. A few were imports and related to skype mostly. I want to delete the ones i want and get error.

You cannot delete contacts from read only accounts. But you can hide them in your account contact list. Don't want to hide them. I want to delete them.
Any ideas?

Open all apps, go to People, hold down the contact you want to delete, and when the menu comes up choose "Delete Contact".

Did like ya said Voyagerfan but have no app called people. Still listening though.

I know what your talking about now. Its on the home page. Same result though.
