Deleting the "System" partition

Ok so here is what I have. I have a 320 GB HD partitioned with Windows vista and windows 7. The Vista is on the C: drive/ system. This is what I want gone though. I want my d: drive to be my primary drive running windows 7. I have everything important (music, school work etc.) already backed up. So how can I get rid of Vista. I know some people have said you cant delete the system part. From what it looks like I can use a partitioner and delete it though. I have no clue what it will do though.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want it on the D: drive? If you want Vista gone, why not just format and install W7 on C:?
