Deleting Windows Assembly Folder

Hi,

I have a second hard drive (not the primary hard drive) in my new computer, which I transferred from my old dead computer.

It has my old copy of Vista on it as well as loads of personal files, so I don't want to format it. I have managed to delete all the old files from the Windows Folder, apart from the D:\Windows\assembly files/folder it says they can't be deleted due to other applications needing them.

How can I delete them?

Boot to a linux CD like Parted Magic and delete the files through there instead.

Boot to Linux Ubuntu CD-ROM disk,locate the folder and delete it.
