deleting

hello
i have a 0 byte file on my desktop (CAN62PZZ.) with n explorer icon. i've tried numerous ways of delteting it icluding r-wipe&clean software. the error message: "cannot delete file: cannot read from the source file or disk".
any suggestions will come in handy

@Ghostfacesuk: its not that the file is locked, it cant be read (and thus the deletion command will fail)


@djkakee: Try some of ForceDelete or from here

Another solution that will almost certainly work but isnt so elegant is to boot up into the recovery console (you'll need a Windows2000/XP/2003 CD for this) and then delete the file from the recovery console
