Hello. I am going to do some upgrading for my friend and he has a dell. I have heard that one cannot take parts from a dell and put them into another computer. I am going to replace the motherboard, memory, cpu, and possibly hard drive. The computer is a Dell Professional 4.0 Pentium 3. Also if I leave the video card the same will it be altered by dells configuring with the new motherboard? Also what power pin is it most likely to be?, if anybody knows.If anyone can think of any possible compatibility issues please inform me. Any other feedback would be greatly appreciated.
