Dell computer problem and shutdown

Sorry, will say the best i can. a friend is out of the country. He has a Dell and the computer is shutting down. I dont have a clue but maybe you can make since of it.

this is the email if it makes any since.
Whenever I start the computer up, I get an error box pop up first that reads the following:
RUNDLL

Error Loading fimp.elo
The specified module could not be found.
This message stays there and doesn't go away or let anything happen until you click 'OK'
Then the computer starts as normal

After I've been using the computer for about twenty minutes or so, I get a window pop up wanting to send an error report . When you close the window with or without sending the error report, another window opens. It reads the following: SYSTEM SHUTDOWN
This system is shutting down.
Please save al work in progress and
log off. This shutdown was initiated by NT Authority\System
Windows must now restart because the
DCOM server process launcher service
terminated unexpectedly.
(while this window is up, it starts counting down from 60 seconds, when it hits zero the computer shuts down then restarts again and what ever you were working on is gone.)

any help would be appreciated.

He is infected. To stop the computer from shutting down he click on start, run and type shutdown -a and hit ok. He most likely has accessed the internet without windows firewall enabled or doesn't have a fully patched OS and has either the sasser worm or the msblaster worm. Needs to install or update his antivirus and scan his system.
