I have a friend who has a Dell Demission 4550 computer and had to do a reinstillation on it a few times. The last time I did it, it rebooted and gave 2 ways to log on and now it gives 3 ways to log on and not sure why? I thought when I did a reinstallation it cleaned to computer out to where it was new again. Can anyone help?

I have the same computer and mine is currently messed up also. Dell is sending me a reinstallation disc for free because mine didn't come with any of that. I have done the reinstallation disc on my laptop before and all I had to do was download the drives again and it was fine and was like brand new. I can't really think of anything that would make it have that many ways to log in.

Use Darik's Boot and Nuke, I had the same problem with my Dell 3000. Darik's Boot and Nuke will erase everything on the HDD and then just format the HDD and install Windows.
