Dell dimension 2400

Dell dimension 2400.

My old pc died... So me mate got me a Dell dimension 2400 from his work i've put a 1G of ram (x2 512mb) in from my standard 512mb of ram.. Its also has a 2.40ghz celron processer it now cant or never seems to keep up its always going flat out on 100% for what im doing.. Soo.. Look for a upgrade would this bad boy fit?

Now i know naff all about computer but loads about cars.. If this isnt the right one point me in the right direction. cheers!!:good:
 
So I took a look and did a little searching and I found this out off of the web,

"The key points are that your board supports only northwood core cpus(not prescott), and that it can take only 400 an 533 fsb cpus(not 800fsb)."

Reading down on that topic I see that the CPU you want is also mentioned that will work with the Dimension 2400. Get some more opinions first of course, but after my reasearching results I can comfortably say that my answer is, Yes it will work :)

Aright boys and girls.. Cheers for that just clicked the buy it now.. so hope you lot wasnt mugging me off.. cheers will let you know how it goes once fitted.. will it make it much more faster? from my celron?
