i have an old dell dimension 4550 that i recently reformatted. Now im having problems reinstalling updates and drivers, due to the fact that i dont have the original bios and drivers cd. This is getting annoying cause i cant even update windows xp due to some error im getting about the date/time being out of sync. Well does anyone know a website where i would be able to obtain an original boot/drivers cd. Ive tried going thru dells site and none of the applications that they have are working. And after googling and going thru numerous site, it seems that many people who reformatted with model have the same problem.

You should probably try another operating system... If you didn't find anything from a very thorough search through google and the Dell website, I'd say try another OS or call Dell up to see what they have to say..

If date and time are messed up then most likely look in the bios to see what is set. It may be time for a new cmos battery if it's not keeping the correct date and time. That system is old, I used to have one.
