Dell Dimension 4600C Problem

Hi, I have a Dell Dimension 4600C that is giving me some trouble. I picked it up along with A LOT of spare parts, MOBOs, ram, HDDs and tons of other crap for $30 from a lady who used to do computer repair. Well I took a look at the Dell, and all it was missing was a HDD and ram. It even had a half way decent graphics card in it. So I popped in a HDD and 2 gigs of ram and started it up. This is where I ran into a problem. Everything starts up, HDD spins, the GPU heats up, and it connects to a monitor fine, the little thing that pops up to say that nothings plugged in went away, but then the screen wouldn't change from black. I tried the built-in GPU, and numerous other graphics cards to no avail. I reset the BOIS, swap PSs, and other things but i just can't get it to work. What I want to know is if anyone thinks it's fixable, or the BOIS is just dead and I should just gut it and move on. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to any intelligent responses that could help me! :D

What popup? What did it say exactly? Have you tested the memory?

Memory works fine, and the pop up thing that says something like "No Device Detected" and has a colour test on it. It goes away, and the monitor acts as if the computer is connected, but all I get is a black screen.
