Dell Dimension 4600i

need some help with my dell dimension 4600i

it has 2.6GHz
40GB HD
256mb RAM

i added a 250Gb Seagate harddrive as a slave drive
and i added 1gb off ddr ram

but when i turn it on it says "sata primary and secondary drive missing"
but i press f1 and continue. but then it turns on really slow and i cant open a programs once i logged in/

please help me if you can thanks

Is the 40 gb drive a Pata and the 250gb drive SATA? You have to make sure you set the bios correctly to what you have or you will run into this issue. If they are both IDE/pata then you need to correctly set the jumpers on both drives.
