Every time I tried to connect anything to USB ports I get the blue screen of death. I was able to use the existing connection on back of computer for mouse via adapter converted to USB connection and got keyboard to work but any device connected to any of the USB ports automatically gets BSOD. I'm also not the greatest at maneuvering around screens with the keyboard so kind of lost on where to go?

My guess is that your usb controller is bad. Do you have front usb ports? Do they also bluescreen? Look in device manager to make sure everything is installed properly with the usb entries. Make sure there is no yellow question marks or unknown devices listed.

Most likely just a bad motherboard. You can buy pci usb card that should allow you to use usb devices.

Also could be your power supply not supplying the correct voltage. Can you get your hands on a psu tester?

Just got a computer back from shop for a bad power supply, didn't have a tester, don't know if it's worth it taking this one in, it's 10 years old?
