Dell E510 DDR3 RAM

I am using my Dell E510 desktop since 5 years. I want to add more RAM probably 8GB. Will DDR3 ram work?

No. The E510 uses DDR2 ram and it maxes out at 4GB. PC2-5300 and PC2-6400 are the only two speeds supported, but I believe PC2-4200 may also work. Safe to go with the PC2-5300.
