Dell Inspiron 1501 AMD Turion 64

I just got this Dell Inspiron 1501 AMD Turion 64. I've never owned or used a laptop so I don't know much about them or how to hook them up to the internet. I have a desktop computer and I have satellite internet service...how to I get that service on my laptop?
 
I have the same laptop. You have a wireless card already installed on the laptop. You would have to run the cable coming from the satellite to a wireless router first, the desktop computer would getting to the router with a cable and you would connect wirelessly with the laptop. Just to warn you, depending on the speed package you got for the satellite internet you might be moving even slower with the wireless. Don't expect blazing speed.

Ok, so I just bought a Linksys G Wireless Broadband Router with speed booster and I have 1.5Mbps download/upload speed...will this all work? I want to know before I open the package.
