Dell Inspiron 6400 screen

Hi I have a dell inspiron 6400 and the screen is knackered. I know that I could get it sent off and fixed but I'm not too bothered about it to get it sent off. However if I could get hold of a second hand laptop (for spares) would I only be able to use a screen from the inspiron 6400 or could I use a screen from another laptop, if yes which model screens would fit my 6400?

MAYBE! you coud use a screen from a dell inspiron 6400. This can be difficult to replace. From other laptop model probably not. Before buying a new screen check the compatibility of the power connectors.
