Dell laptop connection issues

I am working aon my friends dell computer and the internet worked fine on it 2 days ago but now when i go to connect through the wireless it says there is little or no connection and there is a yellow caution triangle on the wireless symbol. It does the same thing when i plug it straight into the local area connection. Can anyone give me any advice to solve this issue?
 
now i have reinstalled the appropriate drivers onto a usb flashdrive and the same thing occurs. It says it has issues renewing my IP address. Someone help me
 
Have you tried power cycling both the router and the modem? Unplug them both and let them sit for 5-10 minutes. Than try again.
 
i have unplugged my wireless router and restarted it but still nothing. I need to get this issue fixed before next week. Is there anything i can try that may fix this issue? Are there any programs that should be on the computer for this intel pro set wireless connection adapter that could have gotting deleted somehow? It keeps on saying that my ip address is invalid when i hit the repair button, is there anything that will fix this?
