the laptop mentioned above is the old laptop i have its rather old and outdated with the OS being windows professional 2000 not xp lol
uh it froze earlier and i did ctrl+alt+del. and then restarted, then the next time i turned it on, its saying the computer has been locked, and it was my dads old laptop so he had a password for it and we cant seem to remember it lol uh... is there any way i can get past the locked feature?

ugh.
i didnt want it to come down to a format, is there any other way to bypass it?
cause... id imagine i can use some of that data thats on there.
and also its rather slow. prolly casue of the components, anything i can do hardware or software wise to speed it up
