Dell Monitors, Any Good?

i love them monitors, a freind has one and it looks very good. i used the first dell 17" for years and then gave it my mate and its still working spot on.
 
i got me a 19" monitor and i have to say its one of the best ive had! i think i would say that as i am dell bias but no they cool and its all about the Dell :)
 
If you look around the forum, many people seem to get Dell monitors. I used some at work last year(19" ones) and I couldn't complain about them. Very nice and sharp with both DVI and VGA... I don't know what their response time was, but it's probably decent... They didn't seem any worse than my current LCD(about 7ms)...
 
you will notice a difference of 1ms!!! j/k :D:D:D

On a serious note, you wont notice a difference even if you go from 8ms to 5ms.
 
But i have heard that such ms(ie 5,6........) results ghosting or whatever while gaming and people suggested me for gaming i should look nothing bigger than 2ms.But they also told me that some moniter with 5ms or6ms also does good job in gaming but only some of them.Is this all true?
 
I can't find a 2ms with that size. That is so fast, I would barely notice. I have a 5ms and play BF2 on Medium-High, with no prob.
 
You have to be careful about the response time quoted, most of the 2ms ones are measured using the Grey to Grey system instead of the Black to white system.
