I am looking to buy my 1st notebook, decided on the Dell 6000 with a 15.4 inch screen--but can not decide on the screen to get, they give you 3 options. (WXGA at 1280 x 800) (WSXGA at 1680 x 1050) and (WUXGA at 1900 x 1200) . I heard that the Ultrasharp screen(s) make all the words/icons smaller and just give you a larger viewing area. I am very interested in sharper images, but not smaller words/icons if that is what I am sacrificing. I know you can change things in the properties, but also heard that if you do on an Ultra sharp screen, things are blurry, better to use the screen in it's native resolution --some say. I dont' really understand all this. Mainly being used for Internet surfing, and DVD watching. What is the best screen for me ??

I wouldnt go with a WUXGA on a 15.4" screen. It's very high. Some even complain about the WSXGA with the icons being small. I prefer a WSXGA on a 15.4 and up. WXGA is lower res, but suitable for many. With a WSXGA I can still put up to webpages side by side for more productivity. :D

Which is best for DVD playing, what are the differences?

Which is best for DVD playing. For instance, if you have a WSGA beside a WSXGA -both on thier native resolutions, will the the movies look exactly the same (except the WSXGA will be clearer) OR is it just that the WSXGA will have MORE of the movie on the screen -because it fits more on the screen. ??
