Hi guys i've got a Dell 4.500, pentium4, 2,2ghz ,1,g mem ram, 80g hd, what linux distro is good for it?

Those are pretty decent specs for most linux distros. Try Linux Mint MATE or Xubuntu.

Thanks PCunicorn: I tryed to install Mint 14,Xubuntu,Lubuntu,Debian and all failed to install
missed some file i forgot what is was, then i thought of swapping the Nvidia Geforce4 ti 4200
for a ATI 9600 card that i had hanging around in my scrap, then i tried Debian wheezy7. and it did install and runs great, did not try the others yet, should i? I like Xubuntu thanks.

That sounds too vague to really provide any help whatsoever as for 'missing some file'..

Something with a lightweight GUI like XFCE would be your best bet, but you should be able to run most distros fairly decently.

I would try 32 bit Ubuntu 12.04, make sure if you install the ATI card you install the proprietary driver from Radeon as the open source drivers does not play nicely with ATI cards.

Thanks guys: After trying Debian Wheezy7, i installed Xubuntu 12.04 and it's running smoothly,i like xubuntu better because it's more friendly and i've been using it on my other computer Sony vaio pentium M for a long time and i always liked it,
i think linux doesn't run good with Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti 4200 out of the box,
so after i changed the card to ATI 9600 everything is fine. thanks folks.
