Dell PC Restore by Symantec

hey all, i have a quick question on the feature of Dell PC Restore by Symantec. I understand that this feature deletes all data and brings your computer back to the state it was when you recieved the comp. But my question is, is it exactly the same as reformatting? Does it remove any viruses if there was any?

yeah...basically its taking it back and in turn it will remove viruses. There is probably a slight possibility that some can still get through. Id reformat. One bc i always feel safer that way since i know what is happening with it. And two bc ive had bad luck with that thing. I have two dell computers and neither of which work. I even called dell support on the first on asking them why it didnt work. They couldnt tell me. They just sent out a reinstall disk. But yes it should remove anything u dont want on the computer including spyware, viruses, etc.
