Dell power supply upgrade help please !!!

I just bought a dell dimension e520, it only has 305 w power supply, I want to upgrade the integrated video card to 7900 gtx. I dont know if it is ok to buy a after market 500 w power supply for my e520 dell, is it going to damage my computer??? or it is going to fit???
My computer specs are:
Intel core 2 dual e6420 2.13 4mb cache
2 gb ram ddr2 667mhz
250 gb hard drive
video card to 7900 gtx(if the upgrade is ok)

and power supply specs:
starpower 500w
adjustable 24&20 pins
S ata connector

how much money are u paying y dont u get a dx10 card since u have a gaming processor id get 8600 which is ok not prb wat ud like but i reccomend for u to get a 320mb 8800gts and here is a power supply that will fit ur computer and wont change a thing except more power at a low price

i have a logisys 480 watt i got for 15 dollars works great and had it for a long time with no power downs


whats ur budget for a video card
 
I wpuld get a high wattage PSU if you think the price is not riht... like a 600w fr $25... get a good manufacturer one... but Dell ones may be different (i dsont know much about dells) My compaq presario desktop doesnt use a standard PSu...
 
Oh my god, just my luck, I just found out that the 7900 gtx is not gonna fit in dimension e 520 damn, so I had to cancel my order and placed an new order for the xps 410 damn!! thank you all!!!
