Dell Studio 1555 Freezes @ bio post

Hello Guys,

I want to ask for everyone's suggestion on what can be done here. I have a friend and she has a Dell Studio 1555. When you boot up you see the bio post which give you the option to press f2 to setup or f12 to boot option. When she press f2 it does nothing and goes straight into loading windows normally. When she press f12 it freezes at the bio post screen and doesn't do anything. It also doesn't boot from CD. The odd thing is that it is not going into bios. She said she got a virus but even if you remove the hard drive the bio post still loads on all computer and still be able to get into Bios. If anyone experienced this issue before can you please provide me some information a fixes I can run and test. Thank you all in advance.
 
With the hard drive removed and it still won't access the bios then you have a motherboard issue and you'll need to contact dell for support. You may need to update the bios if they can get it to flash.
 
Already flashed the bios. I was thinking if removing the battery will reset the mb settings. Not sure if this is a risk. What do you think?
