Dell v Overclockers Gaming PC!!!

Greetings,
I have the following problem.

I am wondering whether to purchase this PC:
The Dell XPS 720 £1,049 version with the GeForce 8800 GTX graphics card. I can purchase it with a coupon for £920 if you guys get back to me quick :)

It basically has the same spec, but some bits are inferior, such as the hard drive (as far as I know), the lack of a operating system and possibly the ram. However it is overclocked which I take it is a good thing. The link is here:

This will cost £997.58, for the remainder of the week.

Any input would be appreciated. If you know of a better deal I am unaware of even better. Otherwise which would you guys prefer out of the two, and why?

By the way I am more interested in gaming than accumulating media.
 
I like how the first review on that page is something along the lines of "omg, my sound broke after a year so now I have to buy a new computer!"

I suggest not buying either of those and getting something that isn't crap instead.

Most people here will suggest building your own.
 
so they are both poor? any chance of pointing out where I could get a better one?

newegg.com has all the parts but you seem to not live in the US.

Members on here know sites where you can order all your parts.

I really do suggest building one, it's not hard and we can all help you out as long as you give your budget and everything your gonna be using the pc for.

Once all the parts are ordered it's as simple as snapping all the parts together really.

I think theres a pc building 101 guide on here as well. Building your own comes out cheaper for usually a way better system.
 
they're both bad, if i had to pick i would get the dell, you would most likely be better off building your own
 
You can build yourself a much better computer.... for the same price... or even a computer with the same performance for much cheaper
 
Firstly, I believe no one would recommend you to go for dell for a gaming machine with this forum

Secondary, I personally will not go for £1000 machine with 8800GTX, just not worth when compare to the 8800GT machine

Alternatively, Go to cclonline.com, you can pick up what so hardware you want and pay them for them to build.

However, I strongly recommend you build it yourself as you save lots of money.
 
Dells are VERY overpriced when they get to the gaming section. There was another thread about this. 10k Dell, and they went to a custom building site, and got even better parts... :7k...
