Dell V313W Printer/Scanner

I have a Dell V313w printer\scanner running on Windows 7
I keep getting an error message that the printer heads need to be cleaned.I followed the instructions on the Dell website to manually clean them I performed this process several times but still get the error message. I unplugged the printer for several minutes ,re-plugged and still get the error.
I also get an error message that the printer is in use.Anyone have any suggestions?

It probably needs to be professionally cleaned but would probably be cheaper to buy a new printer.
