I am purchasing the above PC for my wife to replace her current Dell XPS 410.
I would like feedback from anyone who has this machine. It will be used for everyday purposes; banking, emailing, watching videos, and web surfing. No gaming. Any input, positive or nagative welcomed. 2TB 7200 RPM SATA HD=Intel SRT 32GB SSD cache, 12 GB Dual channel DDR3 1600MHz-4DIMMS., AMD Radeon HD 7770 2GB DDR5, and Intergrated 7.1 with WAVE MAXX Audio 4 sound.

Don't need that high end of a system for what you want to do with it. You don't list the processor that it uses. Heck, even a store bought pc will work fine for you.

Dell XPS Special Edition

Thanks for your input, but I was more interested in specifics about users of this machine. This is the system I wanted. If I wanted a generic PC, I would have bought one at Walmart. FYI: The processor is Intel i7-3770.

For all those purposes you would probably be good with a i3, 4 or 8 gig ram, and the onboard graphics for the i3. Dont need much more, about a 500 dollar system id say at most places... Just browsed dells website, seems you cant configure inspiron desktops anymore, kinda sad, could have made a somewhat nice machine off the base specs for not a bunch of cash.

Dell XPS Specioal Edition

I didn't attempt to confuse all the posters, I was asking about the Dell XPS8500 Special Edition PC specifically. I didn't intent to evoke replies to what PC to buy. Sorry if I confused anyone. Thanks.

All we're saying is that the computer is way overkill for what your'e wanting to do with it. It's got some pretty good specs. But what you want to do calls for nothing close to that. Save yourself some money and get something cheaper.
