Dell XPS M1710

My buddy has been looking at this laptop for awhile now. He has been asking me if it will play games like WoW suffieciently (1024x768, with the settings turned on high). I honestly have no answer for him becasue I've heard mixxed reviews. Laptops arent good for gaming, although I guess this is the "best" gaming laptop around (I'm probably wrong in stating that). And what about overheating issues? Should he buy this? He also would use it for every day usage as well, music storage, word processing, etc etc. I would buy this, but I want other opinions. Thanks!

I would personally look at the Asus line (the G1), newegg.com has good reviews from people who actually use theirs to play games (games more graphics intensive than WoW) and saying it runs cool. Do a lot of research on a notebook before you buy it, along with reviews from people who actually use it the way you will. Because some notebooks have heat issues and cant even play games!

there is a guy some where on here who just bought a XPS maybe he can comment directly about this. (sorry i forget his name)

EDIT: I have been doing a lot of notebook research myself, and it seems hands down I don't see any better reviews that for the ASUS G1 I know a lot of ppl say they sound like air planes, but I don't think that is the case anymore.

yeh im sure that laptop would run WoW on decent settings as WoW doesnt really need that great a system to run it anyway.
