Desk top computer help

I was hoping some one would be able to help me with a problem.

I have a computer at home that was working fine as of Tuesday. I got up and the computer is very slow it takes half an hour for it to do anything. I thought maybe it was bad memory but another computer in the house is doing the same thing. So I am thinking some kind of virus. I took the hard drive out and attached it to my laptop a found 2 viruses hoping that was the problem I reattached the hard drive to the desk top but it is still very slow. Does anyone have any ideas.

What is your operating system? How much ram do you have? Do you have free space? If you dont know any of this then hold the windows button on your keyboard(between alt and ctrl and then hit pause, it will tell you must of the info under the general tab

You do have anti spyware software and a virus scanner correct?

I am running XP Pro with 2GB of ram. Theres 65% free space and I have antivirus spyware and firewall.

hmm, what processes are running? seems like something is using all your cpu. Press alt control deleter, go to your task manager. Sort the processes by how much memory is being used... id recommend using process explorer in the future to fix this

are you running spybot SD?

it's possible you may not have completely removed the virus, it might be wide-spread at this point. have you tired starting in safe mode and then running a AV scan again? the fact that both your computers have the exact same issue at the same time, makes me wonder what else it could possibly be.
