Desktop can't find internet

We've got a couple of HP 110-417cb desktops -- low budget PCs with Intel J2900 CPU, 4GB RAM, 1TB hard drive. Both machines have been in service since mid-June, apparently functioning well, connecting by wireless to network via Nighthawk router. This morning, one of the machines suddenly simply doesn't see the network (the other one continues to work OK). I've gone thru the network setup wizard and it informs me that the Ethernet cable is not connected(!). How do I get the PC to again see the network?

Go into device manager and make sure there is a wireless card listed under network adapters and thats there isn't a red x on it or yellow triangle. What wireless card are you using?

I checked device manager and there were no problem flags. Wireless card is a Realtek RTL8188EE; properties say it's working properly.

Right click on the realtek entry and click on uninstall. DO NOT check the box that say uninstall driver software. Reboot the system and let windows reinstall the driver, then try setting up the wireless connection and try connecting to the internet again.

That worked. Again, thanks!
