Hey guys! So my computer is a gateway and is semi-old so I am not sure what parts are inside. However, I have installed a gtx460 and a new hard drive. My computer is having a serious problem! It began after I installed my video card. My screen sometimes turned purple and the game froze and a loud buzzing sound was heard. This progressed and eventually, my computer could not even turn on correctly. I got a blue screen that said some stuff and it went black. I got a new hard drive and it seemed to go okay for awhile. However, now whenever I turn on or take out of sleep my computer, I can play games (mainly league of legends) for around 15 minutes before extreme lag occurs. A buzzing/growling/not sure what to call it sound occurs every second or so. Frame rate goes from the 60 cap down to around 40 or 30 and jumps back up repeatedly. The lag is so bad the game becomes unplayable. Also, the game sometimes freezes for moments between one and two seconds making the buzzing sound. I have to restart the computer to play without the problem again. Whenever I put the computer to sleep or turn it off, it has the same problem later when I begin play. It sucks so bad! Please help.
