Hello!
I made a post a while ago asking for a build for both 3D Modelling and gaming and but since I don't live in the US I have to order from the UK or Denmark and I came up with a list of things that I could find that were from that list and other things I 'upgraded' due to the budget being bigger now.
So without farther ado!
Processor:
Intel 3rd Generation Core i7-3770K CPU
Motherboard (same one from the list from the previous thread but I'm not sure how it will work with some of the components I've changed! Would be happy to hear from you as to whether I haveto change the motherboard or cam stick with it):
Gigabyte SKT-1155 Z77X-UD5H Motherboard
RAM:
GSkill 16GB (4 x 4GB)1600Mhz DDR3 Ripjaw X Series Memory with Intel XMP
This is the one suggested from the list from the first thread.
GPU:
Gainward GeForce GTX 680 Phantom 4GB
Read amazing reviews about this one but would I need the 4GB or would a cheaper 2GB GTX 680 would be good?
As I said I need a desktop for both gaming and modelling and I know this is no Quadro so how good will it work? Would the 2GB/4GB difference affect it?
Fan:
Corsair CWCH100 Hydro Series H100 Extreme Performance 240mm Radiator All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler
I'll be using the computer for gaming (sometimes for hours) and doing 3d modelling (sometimes rendering overnight or using lots of polygons) so I imagine it would get pretty hot (something I don't want to happen seeing as my room is around 2 x 3.5 meters and very prone to over heating). So would the H100 be good for keeping the desktop cool or at least not too hot? Would an H80 also work?
Hard Disk Drives:
Western Digital WD1002FAEX Caviar Black 1 TB 7200 RPM Internal Hard Disk Drive
Samsung 128GB 830 SSD
Power Supply:
Corsair TX750V2 Enthusiast Series 750W
For the list from the original post a 650W one was suggested to be used with a GTX 670 - but I figured since I'll be using a newer video card and sometimes as I previously said will game on it for a long time or use it to render things for a long time I should get more power. Or would a 650W also do?
Case:
Coolermaster Storm Enforcer Mid Tower ATX Case
Will it be able to fit everything?
That's it I think. Please tell me if I'm missing something and of course if there is anything in this list I can change to make it cheaper or more efficient or both or anything else you feel like I should change.
Cheers and thanks in advance!
