desktop icons problem

loads of my desktop icons images aren't showing up, anyone know how to fix this ?

just go to start search button bottom left corner of you desktop, then all programs, go to the program you want an icon for, right click it then choose send to desktop create shortcut

nah its not that, the icons dont show up in the start menu either or in folders

Check your programs list under control panel to see if they are still installed.

Perhaps you have accidentally deleted the shortcuts. Have you tried going through the various context menus for the desktop for arranging and positioning? If they are not on the Desktop item in Explorer, they are not there. Also, check your Recycle Bin.

If necessary, create new shortcuts.
