this problem just started occuring...and i don't know why...but when i double click an icon on my desktop the properties of the icon opens up but the program or browser doesn't...if i right click it though and click open it opens the program or whatever...how would i got about fixing this...

PS: i do have UltraMon i don't know if that effects anything...

Heya

I think you are talking about a bug that Windows XP has. I have it occassionally and it does not really bother me. The right and left mouse buttons switch but really all it takes is a bit of rigt and left clicking combinations and it gets fixed. How often does it happen in your case?

P.S.: No mouse is causing this because I have had three and come across this in Windows XP in all cases.

thanks guys...but no thanks....*doesn't have XP*...i have ME... and it just started happening, and its not that the buttons are switched because everything else works fine. it's only on the desktop icons...and it also couldn't be that they're switched because when i Double LC it works fine, it's just that instead of opening the program i get the properties window, as if i RCed on the icon and clicked properties

dude its NOT the mouse...everything else is normal, and its not like it doesn't click, or clicks weird, when i NORMALLY double click it it opens up the properties of the icon...its not the mouse

nevermind ladies and gents, i got it working, i created a new icon for the desktop and it started working right so...i dont know...but nvm....
