Desktop is giving me a lot of hassle

I have no idea what is wrong with my desktop.

Recently it has been acting up a lot.

It first started when I left it on over night for my friends to play on a Minecraft server I run. The morning after it was on a black screen and on a low mode, fans were slower and no video.

I tried to restart but all that shows up on my screen is the motherboard splash screen and it changes resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600 (i don't know if that's important)

To get it to boot I have to unplug the power, remove the cmos battery, and hold the power button for 10 seconds and that sometimes works.

I had a friend bring over a geek squad disc from work and I let the full thing run and it didnt detect anything.

Please guys I really need your help to figure out what the heck is wrong with this thing.

Thank you

When I remove the CMOS battery and do all that I get a screen that says:

E7640AMS V11.13 10/09/2012

AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 975 Processor, Speed: 200x4=800 MHz

DRAM Frequency for DDR3 1600 MHz(Unganged mode 64-bit)
DRAM Size is 16384 MB

USB MASS #0: SanDisk
USB MASS #1: TOSHIBA External USB 3.00001

Detected ATA/ATAPI Devices...
SATA Port1: ST9640423AS
SATA Port2: ASUS DVD-E818A7T

All setting were reset to default values.
Press F1 to Run SETUP
Press F2 to Continue

My keyboard isn't recognized and I can't Run SETUP or continue.

After restarting again I can get into windows. Time and date is 1/1/2008 and time is 12:00.

If using a usb keyboard, try using a ps/2 type keyboard if the motherboard supports the connection. When you remove the cmos battery it resets the cmos and it also reset the time and date so you will have to fix change it. If you can get into the bios, check to make sure legacy usb is enabled.
