hey ive recently been looking for a new computer. I was going to build my own but then i saw what i believe to be a good sale at Best Buy for a desktop and a pretty nice labtop
here is the link for the desktop:http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=999985300050000&type=product&id=pcmprd85200050000

and here is the link for the laptop:http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...31FX+&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1195599780039

they also come with a free game. ( im looking for a crysis rig) and i believe that the computer could do it.

But here is the real question which would be better to buy the pc or laptop or build my own for the same price range?:(

thanks for your help:)

Thats not going to happen with $1200 if you need the monitor and OS.

A GTS G92 should play it quite well, maybe not fully 100% maxxed out, but on High, wouldn't it?

so in this case it would be better to buy the prebuilt computer from best buy...

Go to Best Buy, and look at their $1200 computers.

1) Their overpriced
2) Their prebuilt
3) Their GFXs are probably gonna be "LE" or a 8500.
4) They probably can't even play Crysis on Medium.

the desktop he just pointed out had an 8800gt in it for 1200 bucks with a 22" moniter im pretty sure it had 3gb of ram(didn't really look)

im sure it would play crysis on medium with that card dunno on the psu though i looked at the fx7020 and it only had 400 watts so dunno might wanna try for a dell configured the way you want it or if you want to you could build a computer the way you want it

I think the Gateway desktop looks ok if you don't look for ocing/ upgrade
$1200 with Q6600, 3GB RAM, 500GB HDD and 8800GT with 22" monitor. Fair enough.

Will not be cheaper if you build yourself with similar set up.
