Desktop Motherboard

My birthday is coming up, and I want to ask for a few computer parts, namely, the case, mobo, and psu. My question is, what motherboard is best for, preferably, less than $150? Thans in advance.

p.s. Hi everyone!

I want a quad core or high grade dual core...but I have a celeron D that I plan to use until I have the money. As for ram, anything, really. I plan to get the essential parts, use what I already have, and make do until I can upgrade. I have a stick of DDR2 667 that I can use until later on.

Well if i recommend a motherboard, it will work with a dual core and a quad core, you won't be able to use your Pentium D, ok?

Really? What about the boards I've seen that say they support quad/dual core/pentium? Are they different? But by all means, reccommend a board.

i will, going intel or AMD????

and most boards now only support the latest Dual Core and Quad

Hmm...Mini ATX boards are usually the only boards that have an onboard video chipset. If you get a ATX mobo, it will most likely not have onboard video. You would need a dedicated card.

When you say good 550 watt, does that mean that it would be better than the one I picked? or just that it would be cheaper and still comparable?
