Desktop parts help

I was in a small dilemma a few days ago about what to get, a desktop or a laptop. Now I am pretty sure I will go build a desktop.
Please help me pick good parts for it. I will be using it for hardcore and extreme gaming. My budget is 1000.
I already have mouse, keyboard and speakers.
I think i could go for i7- 2600k cpu.
Please suggest.
 
Hmm, I think i5 is good enough for me, but what about other parts? is GTX 460 good or should I go for 570
 
 
I think it comes under my budget, but I forgot to mention it above that I already have cabinet and DVD drive. I need a new monitor and I wanna play games at full max resolution. I want to go for BD drive also.:)

Do you think I can get all in my budget.
 
There may be a few games that you can't run at max, Metro 2033 for example, but otherwise yes...I think you can do it.

The monitor and Blu-Ray drive will cut into it a bit though, so I don't know if something as powerful as a GTX570 or 6950 will be feasible. Don't have time to look right now though... :/
 
I will be going for GTX 570 and maybe i7-875k as i5-2500k is still not available in India. Is 875k worth it? or should I wait for 2500k?
