Im currently looking for a dekstop pc which is under £500. I want it to have a reasonable graphics card like a nvidia 8600gt and the processor to be amd as i dont know anything about intel.

thanks

Do you want there to be a monitor included? Do you want a pre built, or would you build it yourself? You dont need to know anything about intel to have it i your computer. But if you want AMD, thats fine.

i would rather have better parts than the monitor but if u get a monitor free on a deal then that would be good

i would just an old one for now, i've been useing a old tube monitor for awhile now, but usualy you can get good deal for one on ebay or bestbuy, circuit city has been doing alot of sales cause of a recent setback in the money.

Look there, add up some parts, we'll critique.

I beleive he is looking for a prebuilt one (as far as i understand). And we don't know if he is knowlegable about computers.
It's as if i asked you to get a list of parts for a sub-atomic particle beam and ill critique it.
Unless he knows what he is doing, and in that case ignore this post.

I started computers at 9. Anyone can learn computers any time. If he read http://www.computerforum.com/16363-building-computers-101-a.html and http://www.computerforum.com/13713-questions-101-a.html he can build an computer anytime he wants. It's easier (in my opinion) than an oil change.

Building yourself can save alot of $$$.

Yes but i hate it when people do that to me. "Hey can you help me out?", "Yeah sure, go order all the parts". People did that all the time to me when i first got into wheeling and it pissed me off. Why would you post a thread asking a question when there are howtos? Probably because you still have questions.
Now it would have been a different story if you posted a link to some howtos...
