Desktop vs. Laptop

More Power, get less hot, faster, easier to upgrade, more compatible parts... Still thinking, one sec
 
if you get pissed off and smash the keyboard its only like 20 bucks to get a new one haha. just saying lol
 
You're comparing apples and oranges here. Desktops are cheaper than laptop with equal specifications. Desktops have room to upgrade. Desktops have better cooling. Desktops have faster parts (if you're willing to pay for them).

Laptops are more portable. Laptops uses less electricity. Laptops are more convenient and easier to setup.
 
Plenty of reasons why desktop have a bigger advantage than laptops. But im going to take laptop side here.

Laptop are portable, giving you the ability to go anywhere, and play any game you have installed. Laptops have the power to play the latest games at the highest resoltion. If you have a job, there is no reason at all why you shouldnt buy a laptop, itll last you 2-4 years playing every game at the highest resoltuon(ofcourse depending how good the laptop is).
We all know laptops are more expensive, and you cant upgrade them, but imo, desktop end up taking more damage than laptops which is a big "down".

But im just a 17 year old...I dont even own a laptop(YET :D)....just saying this is my opinion. please no flame :p
 
Unless portability is a prime concern I would go with a desktop personal computer. The only advantage a laptop has over a desktop computer is portability.
 
Desktops are better in every single way possible, other than the fact that laptops are so small and portable. That is why they were invented and the only reason they still exist. The "housing."
