Desperately needs help

I computerforum I have been trying to correct a memory problem with my pc and it just don't seem to work. This is my setup listed below.

1: AMD 3700+ Socket754 (Yes I know, old socket but still does the job)

2: 3 GB I believe that it's samsung memory* running at 333 MHz and each stick is 1gb

3: Gigabyte Technology GA-K8NS-PRO

4: Problem My motherboard is only recognizing that I have 2 GB of ram on my pc when I have 3 GB of ram, any solutions tips will be very helpful to resolving this problem. Thank you in advance.

perhaps the most memory ur motherboard supports is 2 gb, is it an old motherboard? it may only support 2 gb, say that the max was 512 mb per stick at the time of release, then it might only mean for you to put 4 512 sticks in.

Might just see 2gb.Built 754s using VIA,ULI and nvidia chipsets and all of them would only read 2gb. Kinda screwed up, alot of socket As will read 3gb, the one I'm on now, Abit KV7 will read 3gb
