Basically I have a computer from 2000. I need one that was created in the 21st century. It's an AMD Athlon K7, 800mHz. 128mb 100 mhz SDRAM.
I want to slowly upgrade this PC into a new one. Such as getting a new PSU(SuperFlower 550W TT-550SS?) and new motherboard with a 939 pin socket. And a modest AMD 64bit processor. 1GB RAM.
I want to buy as little as possible but still have my computer able to work. I mean I'd like to keep my 30GB HD, floppy, CD-RW, Keyboard, Mouse, etc. etc.
I also want this base setup to be around for a while and allow for upgrades. I just got done going through all the "101" things and skimmed over some stuff, and read stuff that rang a bell.
I also included a CPUz txt file with this so everyone knows what's goin on with my computer.
I need suggestions on what I should get. Mild gamer, School work, music, photo editing. I don't need a crazy system, but i'd like one that won't crash on me constantly and one that is competitive to today's standards.
