"audio device on high definition audio bus" and it keeps looking for a driver but can't find one. i have my on-board audio disabled but have another sound card and it's working fine and it isn't an hd card so i don't know why i get this error message. i just disabled the thing in the device manager, but does anyone know how i can get rid of it?

That's a normal item seen in the sound, video, and game controllers section there. I see that here as well only without any problem since it shows "device working properly" right under the Creative item.

Something apparently didn't go on fully when you were installing the software/drivers for the card you installed since that sees MS drivers in the driver details. For the time being since your sound is working you can simply leave it disabled.

Eventually when going for an update or if you change cards that will be corrected on it's own. If you completely remove the software and drivers for the card and Windows has a fresh detection of the card upon restarting the system Windows may decide to see everything installed then.
