Device not ready

One of my comps, A Compaq Presario SR1053wm, with DVR/cd-rw drive, been working fine, This AM try to burn dvd or cd receive message; Device not ready, cannot read medium-Unknown Format, All my other coms will use same disc ok. What could be my problem and solution?

Are you saying it's a DVD/CDRW combi? if so then it can only read DVD's and not record them ;)
 
4x DVD+R/+RW
I can play dvds or cds, but when I put in a blank and check properties it shows used, unused and capacity as 0 bytes. I have been recording dvds and cds until this week.

well that's different to what you originally posted up bud;)

in which case I would think that you're trying to use a DVD-R disk ;)
