Device not recognized...(solved)

SOLVED

I have been using a Canon MP250 for about 3 months without problems this morning I went to print and noticed someone unplugged the printer from the back of the computer so I went to plug it back in. When I plugged the printer in it told me that a USB device could not be recognized.

It is not a driver problem because it was working before without error. I rebooted the computer a couple of time with no luck. It is not the port I tried 8 USB ports each one with 3 different USB cords(one brand new). I tested all the ports on the computer with 3 other devices and they all worked fine except for the printer.

Any ideas as to what could be done?

Check to be sure that it's securely attached at the back of the printer. If it is, and you still get the error, I would just uninstall the printer, reboot and install it again. If that still doesn't solve the problem, I would try another USB cable. Any word on who disconnected it and for what reason?

That would not make since because then why would it work just fine for 3 months and only start acting up once people started unplugging it all the time. Plus, I know that it had all the drivers and print/scanning programs installed because I downloaded them and installed them my self.
