DFI LANPARTY ULTRA-D PCIe vs. AGP issue

Hey I recently purchased a DFI lanparty nF4 Ultra-D Motherboard, and i discovered the graphics card i purchased doesn't fit in the motherboard!!!
Well I figured out, that it is becuase i purchased an AGP card as opposed to the PCIe card required. Is it possible for me to only use one monitor because evidently my motherboard is meant for two graphics cards? and why dont these PCIe cards have a normal monitor plug, they have two white ones?

Two sockets for graphics cards on your board means that it has the option to run in SLI mode, this is just a way of getting more power for gfx by having two cards run in tandem. Its not essential to have two, one graphics card alone will suffice.

As for the white plug, these will be DVI sockets, digital connections for you monitor, if your monitor supports it then its worth using, otherwise some cards should come with a normal VGA out, think its possible to get a small converter plug if the card has DVI only
 
Wow, I dont think I have ever gotten a better reply on a thread in any forum thank you so much for the reply, I really appreciate it, I know exactly what I have to do now! Except for I am little confused on this SLI thing everybody talks about?
 
SLI allows you to use two identical video cards together, and will theoretically double performance.

Most high-end video cards have only DVI connectors, but the majority of AGP and PCI-E video cards have both VGA and DVI.
