Dial Up problem

I have a problem with connecting my computer to dial up. I input all the passwords and username correctly when creating a new connection but when I double click on the connection it comes up with a window that says "Modem Removed -Unavailable Device (COM1)" the window has a few other tabs too. Anyone have any idea whats wrong? I have set up the cord correctly too
 
You may have to reinstall the modem drivers. It will also help if you specify what kind of computer and operating system you're using.
