Thanks, not sure why it has the ECC? but guess it will be ok?

it didnt say anything that it not taking those with ecc.

why do you even need ECC? you get get it without it for much cheaper.

Some where along the line of getting everything ready someone sugested this ram

and at the time I had not figured out what I really needed so I ordered it.

Yes but im sure the 1st one could get the same timings at Vdimm = 2.0v as well
