difference between 8800gt and 9800gt?

the spec are all the same. whats the diff? if not anything.. why bother to have 9800gt exist?
 
The newer 9800GTs are a die shrink, they can tri SLI and have power mode setup. Other than that nothing.
 
9800gt supports "hybrid sli" which enables your motherboard with nVidia 8200/8300 to help enhance the performance or the card.
 
The only part of Hybrid SLI that works with the 9800GT is the power saving mode. The SLI factor only works with lower end cards.
 
Look at the list at the bottom. The first list are what chipset support Hybird SLI. The second list is what cards are supported. In the list of cards, the ones under Geforce Boost Technology are the one that really run in Hybird SLI with the onboard. The ones in the HybirdPower Technology are the ones that just use the Power Saving Mode.
